In Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Nam (Thai: นางส่องเหล้า/Nài Sím-eo-păi-lew-gān) is a poor, unattractive girl who lives with her mother, grandmother and her 2 younger sisters at her village. She is secretly in love with Shone (Jirapan: พีรัชดาคร่าดอกเหนือเสาร์เลนส์/Pai-tru-duk-ru-maak-tru-leu-nam-séam-pát-ha/P'Shone) whom she sees in school. Shone and Nam are in the same class, and his friends call him "P'Shone" instead of "Shone". Both their families are poor, and their parents only want the best for them. Since they are from different backgrounds, Shone and his friends think that they are not compatible with each other, and so do the two families. Shone is a handsome, popular student, with all the girls in love with him, and Nam is just an unattractive and unpopular girl who nobody likes. However, Shone's family and friends see past their differences and help them to get to know each other.
